 Children and Young Adults

The Cooke County Library has both a children's and young adults' collection and section.

In the children's area, patrons can find such books as, Margaret and H.A.Rey's Curious George series and the Angelina Ballerina series by Katharine Holabird.  In the young adults'
section, teens can find books, like Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House series and the very popular  Cirque du Freak series by Darren Shan and J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter.

The Library Director, Jennifer Johnson-Spence, encourages and welcomes
suggestions from both kids and adults for items in the collection. Interlibrary loan
is available if the Cooke County Library does not own the item.

Children's story hour:

The Cooke County Library offers a children's story hour every Tuesday at 10:30 am.  The program runs between 40 to 60 minutes.  The topics vary depending on the volunteer who is reading that day.  For more information on this library event, see the story hour program link.
