Sacred Heart Catholic School and Walnut Bend ISD classes participated in an art contest for Law Day. Their artwork is on display until May 17, 2014.

We looked at the clouds in the sky and read about kites flying high in the sky. We made our own kites with flower and bug stickers.

Thank you Joe Conner and Mark Helton for reading to us about MUD! We learned about the event M-O-O-Ving Thru’ the MUD with Landon. Since getting muddy looked like so much fun, Ms. Kim let us paint pictures with real mud.

Today we talked about blueberries, blackberries, and bears! Ms. Karen Leach read and helped us pick blueberries on “blueberry hill.” We made our own blueberry bracelets with beads and pipe cleaners.

To celebrate National Frog month we read a book about what happens when you bring your frog to the library. We learned how to hop like frogs and sang a frog song. Then we decorated our own jumping, speckled frogs.
