Chess Club
The Cooke County Library is excited to announce the launch of a new Kids Chess Club, offering a fun and welcoming space for young players to learn, practice, and enjoy the game of chess.
The chess club meets every Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Library’s meeting room.
This is a come-and-go program, so participants can drop in and leave on their schedule. It is open to ages 7 to 17. Chess boards will be provided. Whether your child is brand new to chess or already knows their way around the board, the Kids Chess Club is a great opportunity to build skills, meet friends, and have fun.
Kid Librarian Display
We are so excited to launch monthly "Kid Librarian" displays at the library. If you're a kid between 6-14, you may sign up at the front desk. If your name is drawn, you get to create a display for the library's case and make book selections to recommend to other kids. We hope you'll join in to make the library's display special and help other kids pick up your favorite books!
