123… Head start

Ms. Kim read to the children at Gainesville’s Head Start today. She read about a bear who couldn’t sleep because his pesky neighbor was keeping him awake. Then each child was given a book about a hibernating bear thanks to the John and Sandy Schmitz family.

Children’s class October 30, 2015: Halloween

We had a spectacular time with Ms. Kim to celebrate Halloween today. We read about bats and frogs falling from the sky. Then we did a skeleton dance and a science experiment with candy corn.

“1,2,3…” Lighthouse

Ms. Kim read about dinosaurs to the kids at Lighthouse Preschool. The “1,2,3…” Program allows us to visit preschools twice a year in Cooke County, read to them and give them each a book to take home. Thank you to the John and Sandy Schmitz Family for your support of this program!

Read for the Record

On 10/22/15, we read “Not Norman” to participate in Read for the Record Day. Then we used our handprints to paint our own fishbowl art.

“1,2,3…” Claude Jones

On 10/16/15 Ms. Kim read to the children at Clause Jones Daycare about dinosaurs. Thanks to the John and Sandy Schmitz family, each child was able to bring a dinosaur book home to add to their own library.
