Literary LEGOs July 22, 2015: superhero transportation
Our Literary LEGOs club met today to build superhero cars. They made awesome cars, flying cars, and rocket cars. They are on display until next weeks class.
Children’s Class July 21, 2015: police officers
Everybody knows a hero’s phone number! Ms. Jill taught us about hero police officers and how to contact them. Cora discussed camouflage with the older kids.
1000 books before Kindergar’d’en
We had or 3rd participant complete the 1000 Books Before Kindergar’d’en program this week. Even though he completed the program, he isn’t going to stop reading!
Building Tots July 16, 2015: colors
Our third session of building tots met for the first time today. They read about colors before building with colorful blocks.
Literary LEGOs July 15, 2015: heroes
The 3rd session of Literary LEGOs met today to build their heroes. We had headless heroes, patriotic cars, and aliens! Come in to see their creations this week.
Children’s Class July 14, 2015: Share the Fun
The Cooke County 4-H Share the Fun kids performed for our children’s class today. Their skit, “Can’t Stop the Dream” took first place in the Celebrate 4-H category at the Texas 4-H Round-up. Thank you to NCTC for the use of the Little Theater.
Building Tots July 9, 2015: Numbers
On July 9, Ms. Kim and the Building Tots class learned about numbers. They used a counting book and blocks to practice counting to 10.
Literary LEGOs July 8, 2015: Hero Hideouts
Our second session of Literary LEGOs had their last class yesterday. They built hideouts for their favorite heroes. At the end of the class they each received a LEGO book thanks to the Friends of the Library.
