“Art in the Stacks” is a fun and imaginative art class designed especially for kids between the ages of 6-12. In this class, young artists will explore fundamental art concepts such as texture, color mixing, and use of the color wheel – all through the magic of picture books.
Children will experiment with a variety of materials such as paint, oil pastels, and watercolor. Past lessons have included drawing, collage work, and mixed media. As they create, kids will develop creative confidence, fine motor skills, and an appreciation for art.
