STEMed Up January 22, 2024: Constellations

Posted on

In this week’s STEMed Up class the kids learned about constellations. They created their own constellations using pipe cleaners and beads and placed them onto the star map of the northern hemisphere.

This lesson was inspired by “The Astronomer Who Questioned Everything: The Story of Maria Mitchell” by Laura Alary. This book was a 2023 Texas Topaz Reading List selection.

The 2023 Texas Topaz Reading List is available at the Library thanks to a 2023 Texas Book Festival Collections Enhancement Grant.
