The “123 the Story is Coming to Me” program visited classes at Sivells Bend Elementary this morning. Mrs. Kim read books about spring and the kids learned the best practices to care for library books.

Thanks to Hector Flores, Modern Woodmen of America each child was given a book of their own to add to their home library.

Check out the artwork created by Callisburg Elementary School kindergarten students. They created self portraits under the direction of art teacher, Hilary Sikes. Artwork was inspired by Elmer the Elephant.

Art in the Stacks February 12, 2024

On Monday the Art in the Stacks class created donuts in pop art style. The donuts were inspired by artists Rembrandt, Seurat, Van Gogh, and Matisse. The “123 the Story is Coming to Me” program visited the pre-k classes at St. Mary’s Catholic School today.

The kids learned how to care for their library books so others can enjoy them too.

Books were given to each child to add to their home library thanks to Hector Flores, Modern Woodmen of America.

Book selections read today were made possible thanks to a 2023 Pilcrow Foundation grant and the Friends of Cooke County Library.
