Play, Learn, Grow Workshops

In October and November the Library completed our third series of Play, Learn, and Grow Parent Child Workshops. Children and their caregivers were given the opportunity to come into the library to play, interact with each other, and ask questions about various child development topics.

Our guests in this series served as community resource professionals who shared their expertise and helped answer developmental questions.

Thanks to our community resource professionals who shared their expertise and helped answer early childhood questions:

-Early Literacy: Mrs. Kim from Cooke County Library

-Child Nutrition: Dr. Fernandez and staff from Red River Family Dental PLLC

-Speech: Emily from PerdueWorks Therapy Group

-Music & Movement: Stephanie from Cooke County Ballet Academy

-Child Development: Paulina from Texas Department of State Health Services & Brenda from Abigails Arms Cooke County Family Crisis Center

This project is made possible by a Family Place Libraries™ grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (Grant #FPG-24003) to Texas State Library and Archives Commission under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act. (2024).
