This week in Art in the Stacks, our older library kids worked with Ms. Borden to draw some fierce, engaging dragon eyes. The artists started off in pencil and got creative with their dragon’s pupil- we saw stars, ovals, and slits. Then they used colored pencils to shade in the scales around the eye and used sharpies to create definition. We loved seeing their individuality and creativity shine through! This program is made possible thanks to a 2026 Save the Children US Summer Reading Grant. Thanks to our sponsor, the children all walked out with a snack and a book about art.
