The children at Southside Baptist Church Daycare were visited by Ms. Kim today as part of the “1,2,3 The Story is Coming to Me” program. They read about construction sites and cars. Each child was given a book about trucks to take home. Thank you to the John and Sandy Schmitz family for your support of this program.
Has your dinner ever ran away from your plate? Ours did today when we read “The Runaway Dinner.” For dessert we helped Ms. Kim bake a cake and read “Bunny Cakes.” This book was chosen because it is part of JumpStarts Read For the Record 2014. Celebrate literacy and Pledge to read today! http://www.jstart.org/campaigns/read-bunny-cakes-online
The children at Donna Reed’s childcare center were visited by Ms. Kim today for the “1,2,3…the Story is Coming to Me” program. The topic for the day was food! On Saturday we celebrated Star Wars Reads day. We learned about Star Wars characters and then using a little science we saved them from the ice and mud. We made a Yoda shape character to take home along with a lot of Star Wars goodies!
The library’s “1,2,3 the Story is Coming to Me” program sent Ms. Kim to St. Mary’s today to read to the pre-k classes. She read about animals and helping your friends who are in need. Each child was given a furry animal book to take home. Thank you to the John and Sandy Schmitz Family for your support of this program!
