Ms. Kim kicked off “1,2,3…the Story is Coming to Me” at Sivells Bend Elementary. The students read and learned about the library. Ms Kim also read an interactive book to allow them to move while reading. Each child was given a book to add to their home library thanks to the John and Sandy Schmitz Family!
We celebrated Talk Like A Pirate Day a week early. We learned how to swab the deck and get a ship to sail before we made our own 3D pirate ships. #pirate #talklikeapirateday #CCLchildrensclass
We went on a bear hunt today! We didn’t catch a scary bear though. We made a map to help us find our teddy if he ever gets lost. We also helped Ms. Kim tell the story of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears.
We had fun talking about apples and apple trees. We learned about the different parts of an apple. We practiced counting to 10 and stacked apples on our self portraits.
We LOVE when our therapy dog friends, Turbo and Mia come for our yearly Summer visit! We learn sooo much when they come. They love when we read to them! #rottweiler #therapydogs #reading #dogsofinstagram
Ms. Irma reminded the younger kids that we meet heroes every day and that we ALL can be heroes. Ms. Cora and the older kids read about “monsters” and made monster masks.
Today was the last day of our “Literary LEGOs” class for the Summer. The kids built hideouts for their heroes. The kids built hideouts that were camouflaged like shrubs, clouds and islands.
Today was the last “Building Tots” class of the Summer. We read about numbers and dinosaurs. We counted the pegs on our blocks. Then we built whatever we wanted.
