Cooke County now has some very well trained superheroes! They know how to jump over buildings, climb through a spider web, blow bubbles with their super power breath and walk across lava. The older kids enjoyed a visit from Science Safari where Susan showed them the living things you can find in creek water.
The building tots class learned their shapes today. They built with shape connectors after reading a book with Ms. Kim. #CCLbuildingtots #stem #CCLsummer2015
The Literary LEGOs club built anything from dune buggies to airplanes to represent what their hero uses for transportation. #CCLliterarylegos #CCLsummer2015 #STEM
On Monday 6/29, we visited the Boys and Girls Club of Cooke County for our last class of the summer. The kids made paper airplanes and learned about the air pressure that keeps them in flight. #boysgirlsclub #cookecounty #Texas #STEM #CCLsummer2015 #community
Superman was our hero for the day. Since he flies, we learned about airplanes and other things that fly. The younger kids had to try to keep flying objects in the air before making their own plane craft. The older kids made straw gliders. #CCLchildrensclass #CCLsummer2015 #superman #STEM
We had a great group of kids at our Building Tots class today! They had fun learning about colors and building towers. #CCLbuildingtots #CCLsummer2015 #STEM
We ended our first session of Building Tots last week with the topic of numbers. We counted to 10 and then built towers and bicycles. #CCLbuildingtots #CCLsummer2015 #STEM

This morning the younger kids talked about #Marvel’s Storm and how she controls the weather. They then read about storms and made the sounds of rain. Then they created a thunderstorm collage. The older kids talked about buildings and created their own with toothpicks and marshmallows. #CCLchildrensclass #STEM #CCLsummer2015
