Welcome baby chick! Ms. Kim brought two chicks to visit today. We also did an experiment with peeps and painted our own chick with a fork!

What’s your name? We learned about the importance of picking a name, and we sang a song to learn everybody’s name. Then we made a collage picture of our name.
Children’s class May 12, 2015: Bugs
It’s a buggy world out there! We read about caterpillars, butterflies, dragonflies, bumblebees, spiders and more! Then we helped one of our friends spin a cocoon and made fireflies out of band-aides.

And the baby chick said … Moooo!? Karen, Taylor, and Tyler read about how animals sleep on the farm. Then they performed a puppet show about the sounds a baby chick makes. We all got to make our own baby chick puppet. Thanks for the fun day!

Let’s get muddy! Ms. Christi read yesterday about smelly pigs. She told us about M-O-O-Ving Thru’ the MUD with Landon. We were really excited about mud so we finger painted pink piggies.

It’s #raining it’s pouring, so read us a story! Our guest, Kayla, #read about rain today. We did a #science experiment to watch rain fall from the clouds. Then we made umbrellas to keep us dry. #CCLchildrensclass #earlyliteracy

Kami from Gainesville’s WIC Outreach Health Services visited today. She read books about food and shared what she does to help families stay healthy. Then we colored food! Thank you Kami!
