This morning the weekly children’s class received a visit from Cooke County resident, Michael Parkhill. Parkhill taught the kids about astronaut school and the training astronauts must complete to go into space. They also got to touch a moon rock and a mars rock. Since July 20, 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing, they also learned about the men who first landed on the moon in 1969.
