Yesterday in STEMed Up, we attempted to make ornaments using our 3D pens. We definitely experimented during this lesson. The filament was difficult to load but the kids were persistent. They got to create something small.
Last week the “123 The Story is Coming to Me” program visited the children at Tiny Trails Licensed Childcare Facility. Mrs. Kim read about turkeys and told the kids about the library.
Each child was given a book of their own during this program thanks to funding from Jim Goldsworthy – State Farm Agent.
Whooo missed children’s class this morning? If you did, Ms. Kim will be reading about owls again at 2:30.
We are transitioning to a second story time each Tuesday because our meeting room is under construction and the children section is crowded. The afternoon class has had fewer attendees so it’s ideal for your child if the crowd of the morning class is over-stimulating.
We are so thankful for our partnership with Chick-fil-A Gainesville (TX) each month! This morning the children and Ms. Kim read about squirrels and discussed what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving.
The “123 the Story is Coming to Me” program visited two classrooms at Sivells Bends Elementary yesterday. Ms. Kim read about the life cycle of an acorn along with other fall books. The students learned about the great things they can find at the library.
Each child was given a book of their own to add to their own collection.
This program is sponsored in part by Jim Goldsworthy – State Farm Agent
The students at Vilott Homeschool participated in an environmental STEM lesson last week. They learned about the effects of littering in Gambia and what the recycling women did to help.
Then they created bracelets and necklaces out of plastic grocery bags.
