The library held it’s last children’s classes of the year this week. The kiddos welcomed the season winter. Be sure to join us next year on Tuesdays beginning January 2nd at 10:30am and 2:30pm.
The Kindergarten class at St. Mary’s Catholic School created nativity scenes to display at the library for the Christmas season. They’re here until December 30th.
We read about winter birds, where they live, and some of the silly things they do. Have you ever seen a pigeon drive a sleigh? We also made bird feeders to feed the birds this winter.
Last week’s children’s class celebrated Thanksgiving by reading books about food. Ms. Kim chose “Counting to bananas : a mostly rhyming fruit book” and a bilingual book, “I’m hungry! = Tengo hambre!”, which are both on the 2023 Texas 2×2 Reading List.
The complete 2023 Texas 2×2 Reading List was purchased thanks to a 2023 Texas Book Festival Collections Enhancement Grant.
