The Art in the Stacks class painted mixed media gumball machines on Thursday. They practiced blending liquid watercolor to make light and dark colors. They also discussed placement of their artist’s signature. Many decided to hide their signature in their artwork instead of the traditional corner placement.
Last week the “123 the Story is Coming to Me” program visited the PK-2nd grade classrooms at Sivells Bend Elementary. Mrs. Kim taught the students how the library works and they read books about spring.
Each child was given a book to take home thanks to the donation of a generous local donor.
The “123 the Story is Coming to Me” program visited Muenster ISD pre-k classes this week.
Mrs. Kim read 3 books. The first introduced the kids to the library, the 2nd was a book about winter and friendship, the 3rd book was a book with no words! The kids helped her tell this story just by looking at the pictures. It was so much fun!
Each child was given a book of their own to take home thanks to the generous donation of a local sponsor.
We had a special celebration for Valentine’s’ Day. The kids learned the ASL signs for “I love you” and “hug”. They also created a valentine to give to their special person.
