Today the Art in the Stacks class painted rainbows. Most colors were straight out of the bottle but they did practice mixing sky blue and indigo.
This program is made possible thanks to the Friends of Cooke County Public Library and a 2025 Summer at the Library grant from the Texas Library Association and H-E-B.
We used the Makey Makey device to learn about circuits today in STEMed Up. We explored a banana piano, pinball controllers, and a game show button. Then we played Family Feud using the game show button.
We enjoyed our first SUMMER story time at @chickfilagainesvilletx this week. The kids read about all of the colors you see in the summer days, sang scarf songs, and made an artistic cow.
Today we held our in-person StoryWalk® event. Ms. Kim and attendees walked through Jaycee Park to read the June book.
Kayson’s Candy Company treated the kids to sweet treats once they reached the last page. This month’s StoryWalk® is sponsored by Kayson’s Candy Co. in observance of National Candy Month.
If you complete the survey on the last page any time this month, your kids can get a sweet treat as well. Just show the library you completed the survey.
This project is made possible by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (Grant #LS-252486-OLS-22) to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act. (2023)
Special thanks to our StoryWalk® sponsor, Kristy Emberton – Tierra Real Estate Services
