On 5/27/25 Ms. Kim read 2 stories about outdoor adventures. In one story, a bear took an adventure from the forest to the city. In the other, a cat took an adventure from the city to the forest. In the end, they both wanted to be back home.
This week the Art in the Stacks class painted duck paintings. They discussed analogous colors (colors next to each other on the color wheel) and practiced making their paints darker and lighter.
The library visited the Valley View after school Enrichment group. Ms. Kim read a mystery picture book. Then they discussed ways detectives might try to solve a mystery. They practiced making their fingerprints and looked at how each one is unique.
The students from Sivells Bend Isd created spring chick artwork to display at the library. Students in grades PK-2 took a field trip to the library to see their display. They also got a library tour, story time and built with LEGOS so they could see all of the great things the library has to offer.
Are you ready for the upcoming stormy weather this weekend? The kids are! They made their own stormy weather collage and used rhythm sticks to make the sounds of rain and thunder.
