The students from Sivells Bend Isd created spring chick artwork to display at the library. Students in grades PK-2 took a field trip to the library to see their display. They also got a library tour, story time and built with LEGOS so they could see all of the great things the library has to offer.

To celebrate the Week of the Young Child, the library visited the Montessori students at Sacred Heart Catholic School. Mrs. Kim read books about humming birds and the kingfisher bird to add to the students’ bird theme.

The Sacred Heart Catholic School Montessori created artwork to display at the library. Come in through Saturday April 5th to see it.   The pre-k class practiced the art of fish printing or “gyotaku” and the kindergarten class made 3-d paper flowers.   #CCLartworkdisplay #EducateEngageEnrich

We finished the “123…the Story is Coming to Me” season this week with visits to Mrs. Terry’s Preschool and Lil Leopards Learning Centers. The Art in the Stacks class painted mixed media gumball machines on Thursday. They practiced blending liquid watercolor to make light and dark colors. They also discussed placement of their artist’s signature. Many decided to hide their signature in their artwork instead of the traditional corner placement.
