Mobile Hotspots

The Cooke County Library has mobile Wi-Fi hotspots available for checkout. Our Wi-Fi hotspots are easy-to-use devices that provide mobile Internet access. Connect your Internet-ready devices and enjoy unlimited high speed internet at home or on the go.

Place your hold today through the library catalog.

Review the library’s Wi-Fi Hotspot Policy.

General use
In order to check out hotspots at Cooke County Library, you must be a library card holder with a current driver’s license or state identification card.

You must be at least (18) eighteen years old and have no fines on your library account.  Cardholders must have a card for at least thirty days before checking out a hotspot for the first time.

The Mobile Hotspot may be checked out for a 7 day loan. NO renewals. Failure to return the device on time will result in a $5 fine per day.  An overdue Mobile Hotspot will be deactivated within 24 hours of the due date.

Patrons must sign the Hotspot Patron Agreement upon checkout.

Tips & Troubleshooting

Ensure the hotspot is charged.

The network name (SSID) and password are located on the back of the hotspot.

If the device is not connecting to the network, press and hold the Power key for 10 seconds to restart the device.

The Mobile Hotspot must be returned to the Cooke County Library.  It must be given to a library staff member at the circulation desk in the same condition it was when you received it.  The Mobile Hotspot may NOT be returned in the book drop.

If you use one of these Mobile Hotspots please fill out the survey. You can find a QR Code on a tag on the hotspot or use this link: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=pAVw5R9lqEa_pwevOQdyPcHnL4cCpJdDpudKYpcjsY5URFBNVkNKMkZONDlXMEVPUEEySDlVMzRENS4u
