Yesterday we joined Jumpstart’s #ReadfortheRecord by reading A Bear ate Your Sandwich. #Jumpstart 
123…Lighthouse
The children at Lighthouse Preschool were visited by the “123…” Program today. Ms. Kim read about Cowboys and scary faces. Then each child was given a book of their own to share with their families. Children’s Class October 25, 2016: Farm Animals
Today the Leach family used farm animal puppets to tell a story about sick animals. Then Mrs. Leach taught us the difference between real and pretend storybooks and read a book about a real pig! #farmanimals #puppetshow #nonfiction #CCLchildrensclass 
123…Angel Academy
The classes at Angel Academy were visited by the “123…” Program. They read about superheroes and a book about wiggling. We would like to thank the Cooke County Electric Charitable Foundation: Operation Roundup for allowing us to send each child home with their very own book.
Children’s class October 11, 2016: Trooper Tackett
On 10/11/16 Trooper Tackett joined our children’s class today. He read about a square pumpkin who saved the day. Then he showed us the shapes on his uniform. 
Children’s Class October 8, 2016: Star Wars Reads
On Saturday we celebrated Star Wars Reads. We identified characters and saved Hans Solo. Then we made light sabers and took pictures in a photo booth.

Gainesville Artwork Display
Be sure to catch Gainesville’s “Diary of a Worm” display at the library from Oct. 10 – Oct. 29, 2016. 
STEAM at Edison Elementary
Today Ms. Kim and Ms. Jennifer taught a lightbulb lesson to some of the first graders at Edison Elementary. The kids learned about leaves and fruits of a tree, how leaves get water and how a tree changes each season. #EdisonElementary #STEAM #GainesvilleTX
