Library Updates

Boys and Girls Club March 22, 2023

Posted by kimr on

Last week the library visited the Boys and Girls Club of Cooke County.

On the tween side, the kids learned about the origin of the game “Rock, Paper, Scissors.” They participated in a character-building exercise to think about their unique strengths and interests they can take with them when entering challenging parts of their day.

The youth side got a presentation about the library using Mrs. Kim’s “magic bag,” which told them about the various resources at the library. They were excited about all of the great books!

123 Tiny Trails March 23, 2023

Posted by kimr on

On Friday, Mrs. Kim read to the Tiny Trails Childcare Facility preschool kids. The “123…the Story is Coming to Me” program provides a unique early literacy experience to the children in our community. The goal is to provide interest and excitement for books and learning. This program also gives each child a book of their own.

Thank you, Jim Goldsworthy – State Farm Agent for supporting this fun early literacy program.

Children’s Class March 14, 2023 : Leprechauns

Posted by kimr on

Tuesday children’s classes offer the best of both worlds.

10:30 am classes are full of friends,
2:30 pm classes are smaller for those who don’t enjoy big crowds.

Either time you attend, your kids will enjoy listening to stories, singing and dancing with Ms. Kim. It’s fun for their grown-ups too!

What is your favorite animal? Is it possibly a unicorn? Unicorns were a favorite yesterday when we read at Chick-fil-A Gainesville (TX) (Gainesville, TX).
