On Thursday 9/28/23 the “1,2,3 the Story is Coming to Me” program visited the pre-k class at Era ISD. Ms. Kim read books about pandas. The kids also learned about the great things they can find at the Cooke County Library.
Each child was given a book of their own thanks to Hector Flores, Modern Woodmen of America.
On Thursday 9/21, the library’s “1,2,3 The Story is Coming to Me” program visited the preschool classes at St. Mary’s Catholic School. They listened to stories about bedtime and learned all about the library.
Each child was also given a book of their very own to share with their families.

This morning the “1,2,3 The Story is Coming to Me” program visited the classes at Sivells Bend Elementary. The kids learned about library resources and listened to books about fall.
Thanks to Hector Flores, Modern Woodmen of America, each child was given a book of their very own to add to their home library.
Today we celebrated International Dot Day. We read “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds and “Baby Shoes” by Dashka Slater. While reading “Baby Shoes,” we made an interactive drawing by coloring dots and splotches to follow along in the book.
Today the children’s classes sang and learned about the ABC’s. Using the book “EEK! : a Noisy Journey from A to Z”
by Larios, Julie Hofstrand, kids practiced making noises with each letter. This is a great book for early speech development.
